
This year, Mark Gustavsson has been nominated for the Australasian Lawyer Rising Stars 2022 Award. An outstanding young professional in the Australian legal industry, Mark has shown leadership qualities and recorded significant achievements early in his career. In 2019, at the age of 27, Mark Gustavsson started his own legal practice, which focuses on litigation with a special interest in cases involving business disputes. Now 29 years of age, Mark continues to grow his business and make waves across Adelaide’s legal scene.
After graduating from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Mark worked in law firms in Adelaide and the Gold Coast. After working for a few years and taking a break to work in the Gold Coast hospitality scene, Mark returned to Adelaide to start his own legal practice.
Mark’s reputation as an innovator in the legal profession and extensive knowledge of local and federal law have quickly made him a go-to lawyer for many small businesses and entrepreneurs in the area. The combination of Mark’s excellent legal mind and international experience ensures his success as a litigator. Throughout his career he has helped bring about many successful lawsuits against large corporations and companies. His recent achievements include a recent successful appeal in the New South Wales Supreme Court of Appeal case against Pizza Hut Australia regarding a franchise dispute. Read the decision here.
