Mark Gustavsson & Associates has helped the not-for-profit organisation In2Ed Africa Foundation Ltd become recognised as an official charitable organisation.

Mark Gustavsson & Associates has helped the not-for-profit organisation In2Ed Africa Foundation Ltd become recognised as an official charitable organisation. In2Ed Africa is now listed on the official ACNC website (Australian Charities and Non-for-profit Commission) as a registered charity. Thanks to the legal help from Mark Gustavsson, the In2Ed team formed their Board, incorporated the company, and achieved charity registration status, all within the space of six months.

In2Ed Africa aims to provide an affordable, quality, and relevant education for children from low-income backgrounds across East Africa, with the hope of them becoming catalysts for positive change and development. When a company is recognised as an official charity, the channels open to scale impact across the globe. It also allows for DGR status (Deductible Gift Recipients), meaning donations to In2Ed can be tax deductible.

In2Ed Africa was established in 2019 by Susan Knapp, who wants to create a sustainable educational brand in Kenya. Susan and her four children began by facilitating the building of two schools in Kenya, which opened in January 2020. Due to the pandemic, the schools closed in March 2020. Operations pivoted during this time, and pilot projects grew and stabilised, drawing the attention from people who aligned with the mission to create purposeful enterprises that transform communities. This attention led to the creation of the Board and the incorporation of In2Ed as a company, aided by the legal work of MGA. Finally, charity registration status was achieved.

The In2Ed team received compliments from the Government department who noted that they had not seen an organisation create such high levels of impact before registering.

Susan has also recently published her book “Nothing is Too Big”. Her book is a motivational guide that encourages readers to pursue their dreams, no matter how big or small they may seem. In her writing, Knapp shares her own personal struggles and triumphs, providing inspiration and guidance for those who may be facing similar challenges. Her work is widely recognized for its positive and uplifting messages, and has helped countless individuals overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
